How to Cancel Your 8am MyCase Subscription

If you've decided to cancel your MyCase subscription, you can do so within MyCase Firm Settings. Only admin users with access to billing preferences can cancel their MyCase subscription.

Step-by-Step Cancellation Instructions

For MyCase Subscriptions:

  1. Log in to your MyCase account as an admin user.

  2. Click on your initials or profile picture in the top-right corner.

  3. Go to Settings > Firm Settings > Billing.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the Billing page and select Cancel Subscription.

  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to finalize the cancellation.

Post-Cancellation Access and Data Retention

  • Access After Cancellation: You retain full access to your account until the end of your current billing cycle. Access is terminated at the end of the billing cycle, and no further charges will be applied. After this period your MyCase account enters a 30-day read-only mode, during which you can export data but cannot perform other actions. After 30 days, your account and data may be permanently deleted.

  • Data Export: Perform a full backup to export data into spreadsheets. Note that invoice PDFs and documents must be downloaded manually. Export any necessary data, as access will be removed after the 30 day read only period ends.

    • For invoices, navigate to Billing, select Invoices, choose 100 rows per page, check the box to select all invoices on the page, and then use Actions to export as a PDF.

    • To export documents, go to the specific case, select the Documents tab under Items & Info, click Actions, and choose Download All Case Documents.

Billing and Refund Policies

  • Non-Refundable Payments: Charges for monthly or annual plans are non-refundable if cancellation is not completed before the next billing cycle or trial end date. Ensure you cancel in advance to avoid unwanted charges.

  • Downgrading Plans: You can manage your subscription by deactivating users and adjusting your license count. To downgrade your plan's tier, please have your admin user reach out to Customer Support.

  • Reactivation Required: If your data is still available after the 30 days, you must reactivate your account to retrieve it.
