MyCase Payments Tab Overview

Overview

The MyCase Payments tab allows you to view all transactions and account activity easily, reducing the time it takes to assess your firm's financial health. You can track and view Payment History, Trust Accounting, Transactions, and Account Activity in the Payments tab.

Transactions

To view Transactions:

  1. Select Transactions from the Payments tab.

  2. The record includes the Transaction Date, Invoice the transaction is Related To, Case, who Entered the transaction, Details, the Method by which the transaction was paid, the Amount, and Status.

  3. Sort by Date Range, Bank Account type or Client Name.

    Note: You can filter by one, both or all filters

  4. Click Apply Filters

  5. Once you are done viewing filters, you can click Clear All to return to all transaction records.

  6. Click the Print icon to print Transactions.


โ€‹Note: If you have LawPay integrated with your MyCase account you can reconcile payments made outside of MyCase to a payable in MyCase. For more information, click here.

Account Activity: Payment History

The Account Activity sub-tab shows all Payment History and Trust Accounting records.


To view Account Activity:

  1. Select Account Activity from the Payments tab.

  2. Select the Payment History sub-tab.

  3. The record includes the Date, Invoice the payment is Related To, Contact, Originating Attorney, Lead Attorney, Who Entered the transaction, Notes related to the payment, Payment Method, Amount and Total.

  4. Sort by Date Range and/or Bank Account

  5. Click Apply Filters

  6. Once you are done viewing filters, you can click Clear All to return to all transaction records.

  7. Print or Export as CSV.

Account Activity: Trust Accounting

The Trust Accounting sub-tab shows Account Activity for Trust Accounts.


To view Trust Accounting Activity:

  1. Select Account Activity from the Payments tab.

  2. Select the Trust Accounting sub-tab.

  3. The record includes the Date, invoice or funds request, and payment Related To, the Contact, Case, Originating Attorney, and Lead Attorney. Who Entered the transaction, Credits, Debit and Balance.

  4. Sort by Date Range and/or Trust Bank Account

  5. Click Apply Filters

  6. Print

  7. Export as CSV

  8. Or Request Funds
