How to Import Outstanding Bills (Firm Expenses)

This article covers importing outstanding bills (accounts payable) for easy setup or continuously, if you prefer.

Follow the steps below to complete a successful data migration.

  • When you import your bills, the system will create any bills listed on the import data sheet.

  • Please ensure there are no duplicates and that your bills have not already been entered.

Prepare the MyCase Bills Template

To complete a successful migration of your bills (firm expenses/accounts payable), you'll need to use MyCase's import template.

  1. Access the template by logging in to Mycase and navigating to the Accounting > Bills & Expense screen.

  2. Select Add Bill.

  3. Select Import Multiple Bills.

  4. If you haven't already downloaded the import template.

  5. Fill in the Template Column with the data from your billing invoices.

  6. Complete all required fields.

Payment Date

Payment Account Number

Check Number

7. Save the file.

8. Drag or click to upload your prepared file.

9. After you have uploaded your file click Submit.

10. After you submit your Bills, all successfully imported bills will be displayed within your outstanding bills list.

11. Any bills that fail will show an error warning.
