How do I delete a contact?

You can delete contacts you no longer need in 8AM™ MyCase.

You can delete contacts you no longer need in 8AM™ MyCase.

To delete a contact:

  1. Open the Contact Details Page for the person/company you'd like to delete.

  2. In the bottom-left corner, click the red button labeled Delete Contact.

  3. You will be presented with a confirmation box asking, "Delete Person?".

  4. To continue with the deletion, click Delete Person.

  5. You will then see an additional confirmation box to Confirm Delete. Click Delete Person to permanently delete the contact.

Please Note: Deleting a contact will also delete all data and activity associated with the contact. If you want to keep this data, you should Archive This Contact instead. If payment or trust activity is associated with the contact, please delete the specific transaction first. Learn more about deleting payments on invoices here.
