Overview
You can stay on top of clients' trust and operating (credit) account activity via the client's details page. Trust and operating activity both appear in the Transaction History sub-tab on the Billing tab. See the steps below.
View Client's Trust Account Activity
Open the Contact's page for the person/company who's trust account activity you'd like to see.
Then, click the Billing tab.
By default, you will see the Transaction History tab.
The Billing sub-tabs are Transaction History, Requested Funds, Invoices, and Trust Allocations.
Switch Between Trust and Operating Activity
In the Bank Account drop-down, select a trust account to see trust activity, or select the Operating account to see operating activity. The Operating selection replaces the former Credit History sub-tab.
With a trust account selected, the Withdraw from Trust and Deposit into Trust buttons are available. With Operating selected, the Deposit into Credit and Withdraw from Credit buttons are available.
Credit-specific actions still require the firm setting Enable Non-Trust Retainers and Credit Accounts (Settings > Firm Settings > Client Billing & Invoice Settings > Edit Preferences, Admin only). To learn more, see Non-Trust Retainers and Credit Accounts.
Deposits made directly to the operating account, such as with Quick Charge, do not require an invoice or the non-trust credit setting. These deposits appear in Transaction History with Operating selected.
The contact's left panel shows the Trust Account Balance and the Non-Trust Credit Balance.
In the Bank Account drop-down, select the trust account you want to view. The list shows the trust transactions for the selected account.
To narrow the list, use the Trust Allocation filter, then click Apply filters. The Trust Allocation filter is available for trust accounts only.
You can export the client's Transaction History as a PDF document. To do this, click the Export PDF button.
