Overview
By using Docketwise's integration with MyCase, you can keep information from your contacts and matters/cases synced across both platforms.
Contents
How it Works
The integration works by syncing contacts and matters/cases across both Docketwise and MyCase. Below, you will find more information on what information is synced (Synced Attributes) and more details on how the integration works (Initial Integration & After the Integration is Activated).
โ
Note: By default, the integration sync two ways (from Docketwise to MyCase and vice versa). However, if you wish to have only a one-way sync (from MyCase to Docketwise), this option can also be enabled; click here to learn more.
Synced AttributesSynced Contact Information
First Name
Last Name
Email Address
Physical Address
Mobile Phone Number
Work Phone Number
Notes:
Email Address is a unique field in MyCase; if a contact in Docketwise already has an email address in use by a contact in MyCase, the email address will not be synced.
Company contacts cannot currently be synced via the integration.
For the contact's physical address, the Address 2 field syncs with the Apt/Ste/Flr Number field in Docketwise; therefore, it is recommended to maintain the Address 2 field in MyCase without the Apt/Ste/Flr descriptor.
Synced Matter/Case Information
Matter/Case Name
Matter/Case Description
Matter/Case Contact(s)
Note: Matter/Case Name is a unique field in MyCase; if a matter from Docketwise has a duplicate name, the Docketwise Matter ID will be appended to the name.
Initial Integration
When you first activate the integration in Docketwise, the following will happen:
The integration will look for matches between contacts on both platforms.
In order for the contacts to be considered a match, they must have the same First Name, Last Name, and Email Address on both platforms.
Any matching contacts will be synced between both platforms.
If any synced contact information between the synced contacts is different, the information from the contact in MyCase will overwrite the information for that contact in Docketwise.
If a contact in MyCase does not match any contact in Docketwise, it will be created in Docketwise and synced across both platforms.
If a contact in Docketwise does not match any contact in MyCase, it will not be synced.
After the Integration is Activated
After the integration has been activated, updates in both Docketwise and MyCase will be reflected in the other platform. Below, you will find more information on how the updates made in each will be reflected via the integration.

Updates made in MyCase since the last sync will be reflected in Docketwise each night and/or when synced manually within Docketwise. If you wish to sync updates manually from MyCase to Docketwise, simply select the profile option in the top-right corner and select the Sync MyCase option.
