Migrating from Time59

Prepare to export your Time59 data for a seamless import into MyCase. Learn the essential file formatting rules to ensure a successful data migration.

Overview

To ensure a smooth migration into MyCase, your files must be exported in .csv or .xlsx format, have headers only in the top row, and contain no duplicate entries. If you need help meeting these requirements, contact Time59 Customer Support. If your MyCase subscription includes onboarding, a Data Conversion Analyst can assist you with formatting and organizing your data.

What can migrate

  • Unbilled Expenses

How to migrate

Important:

There is not an option to export “Projects” to Excel, but one can open a list of Projects (either as a report, or in the Projects tab), then copy and paste that data onto an Excel spreadsheet.

  1. Click on Export in the main menu at the top

  2. Select Export to Excel

  3. Select Time, Expenses or Clients from the dropdown

  4. Select the date range for the data

  5. Click Export

  6. Repeat as necessary to get the rest of the information.

  7. (Note: reports do not seem to have an export to Excel function, only .txt files.)
