Using the right way to set up indentation in your documents is critical when it comes to document automation to ensure you won't experience any formatting issues.

1: Use Word Tables in your Document and insert your fields within the cell
Using Tables in your Word document will guarantee that you have stable formatting and indentation for your paragraphs/ signature lines.
Navigate to the "Insert" tab > Table > Select the Table size you need
Select a table with a Number of Columns = 2 and a Number of Rows = 1
Setup the cell borders on your Ruler
Insert the field in your second cell ( we won't be using the first cell)
Remove borders by clicking on the top left corner of the Table, to activate the Table Design menu in the Microsoft Word ribbon.
Select Borders > No Border.
You won't be able tell that a Table is inserted!
2: Use Word Settings
Make sure you move both the "First line Indent and "Left Indent" icons needs on your Ruler ( tab rulers will not hold the formatting when you draft your documents)
