MyCase's task & to-do features make creating, delegating, and managing your personal and firm agendas easy.


Adding Tasks

  1. Add a Task from the Dashboard by clicking the Add Task button.

  2. Or from the Case Details page, click the Tasks subtab under Items & Info and select the Add Task button.

  3. Select a Case or Lead or check This task is not linked to a case or lead.

  4. Add a Task Name.

  5. Add a Due Date.

  6. Add Checklist Items.

  7. Assign a Priority and Description.

  8. Toggle to Enter Time Estimate and Add a Reminder.

  9. Tasks can be assigned to other firm users and clients to complete.

  10. Click Save Task.

Bulk Task Actions

You can manage bulk task actions from the Tasks tab to help you manage your to-do list more efficiently. This feature operates similarly to other bulk options in MyCase, such as our options for Invoicing and Document actions.​

  1. From the Tasks tab, click a Task or Tasks.

  2. Select the Actions dropdown to Mark as read, Mark as completedChange the due date, or Reassign tasks.

    This feature is useful if, for example, a judge grants a continuation that requires all of the case-related tasks for that trial to be pushed out. Or tasks may show up as due this week, but work from a different case suddenly takes priority due to a new development, and the other case's tasks can still be completed at a later date.
