Overview
MyCase's task & to-do features make creating, delegating, and managing your personal and firm agendas easy.
Adding Tasks
- Add a Task from the Dashboard by clicking the Add Task button. Or from the Case Details page, click the Tasks subtab under Items & Info and select the Add Task button.
- Select a Case or Lead or check This task is not linked to a case or lead.
- Add a Task Name.
- Add a Due Date (Optional).
- Add Checklist Items (Optional).
- Assign a Priority and Description (Optional).
- Toggle to Enter Time Estimate and Add a Reminder (Optional).
- Tasks can be assigned to other firm users and clients to complete.
- Click Save Task.
Bulk Task Actions
You can manage bulk task actions from the Tasks tab to help you manage your to-do list more efficiently. This feature operates similarly to other bulk options in MyCase, such as our options for Invoicing and Document actions.
- From the Tasks tab (from the main tab or Case Task Subtab), check the box by a Task or Tasks.
- Select the Actions dropdown to Mark as read, Mark as completed, Change the due date, or Reassign tasks.

This feature is useful if, for example, a judge grants a continuation that requires all of the case-related tasks for that trial to be pushed out. Or tasks may show up as due this week, but work from a different case suddenly takes priority due to a new development, and the other case's tasks can still be completed at a later date.
