Overview
In 8am™ MyCase, you have the option of assigning tasks to multiple people.
When you create a task, you have the option of assigning it to not only yourself, but to multiple people at the firm. Assigning a task to someone means that the task will show up on their task list and they will be able to mark it as complete.
Assign a task to another firm user
Click the Tasks tab in the left navigation pane.
Click the Add Task button.
Select a Case/Lead you would like to connect this task to from the dropdown.
Once a Case/Lead has been selected, you will see all the Contacts/Staff that are linked to the case. Choose who to assign this task to.
Fill out any other information on the form.
Click Save Task.
Once this has been complete, you will have successfully assigned a task to another firm member.
TIP: You can edit task assignments at any time. Simply open your task list, then click the pencil icon on the right side of the task. You will be taken to the task editor where you can update task information.
