How do I assign a task to someone else at the firm?

Overview

When you create a task, you have the option of assigning it to not only yourself, but to multiple people at the firm. Assigning a task with someone means that the task will show up on their task list and they will be able to mark it as complete.

Steps

  • Click the main Tasks tab in MyCase

  • Click the Add Task Button

  • Select a Case/Lead you would like to connect this task to from the dropdown

    • Once a Case/Lead has been selected, you will see all the Contacts/Staff that are linked to the case

  • Choose who to assign this task to and fill out any other information on the form

  • Click Save Task

Once this has been complete, you will have successfully assigned a task to another firm member!

You can edit task assignments at any time. Simply open your task list, then click the Edit button (pictured below) for the task. You will be taken to the task editor where you can update task assignments.
